Plumbers Emporium A507178 check valve for some pressure balance valves. This part replaces old part number A603933. The A507178 check valve is designed to shut off the water supply to the shower valve, so you do not have to shut off the main water supply to the home. The nut near the bottom of the check valve is hexed to make it easier to loosen, or tighten it into the valve. It comes complete with the rubber O-ring at the top of the male threads. It will also include the spring-loaded end with the plastic stop at the end of it. The total length of the A507178 with the spring extended is approximately 2 1/8 inches. The outer diameter of the hex shaped nut is roughly 3/4 of an inch.
